Oorah's "Don't Take Kids to a Store"

This week, a popular TV show which is based in Brooklyn, was shooting in Boro Park. One really interesting clip that was circulating all over is this one:




I was going crazy trying to figure out from where I knew that gray bearded guy. Turns out he's Elli Meyer, who has quite a reputation for appearing as an extra or acting as a "rabbi" in many tv shows. He was also on Verplanck - the guy with the long braid/ponytail who doesnt want Verplanck turning into "Hymietown." On this clip he says he was on Oorah's clip "Don't Take Kids to A Store." aha!!! I had wondered who that gray bearded zaidy was - I thought he was Meir Ber Schwartz of Seagate. Ha!!!

Yeshivishe Reid II

Today I'm going to take the lazy way out and post a video that many of you have probably seen, as it's been made widely available on the entertainment DVD that Oorah sends out to its annual donors.

In case you haven't, though, here's "Yeshivishe Reid", from the Oorah DVD. I'm not even exactly sure who the vocals are by, is it Abie Rotenberg? I don't even know. Nor do I know who these hapless performers are....
